A follow up to our article last week: STARLINK – THE FUTURE OF YACHT COMMUNICATIONS?
Starlink is now available for maritime use following its approval by the FCC for use on moving vehicles, with up to 35Mb download for $5,000 a month pay-as-you-go.
The service can be paused any time and billed in one-month increments, allowing users to customise the service to their individual needs.
Coverage in many popular yachting destinations and yacht charter grounds is already available, with nearly full global coverage for the network expected by Q1 2023.
