Chase tenders are one of the new trends among yacht owners, and work especially well for smaller yachts that don’t have the large tender garage spaces that larger ones do.
The advantages of a chase tender are in gaining a larger tender that acts detached from the mothership. Operating with their own crew, the yacht owner or yacht charter guest gains the benefit of being able to go on longer and further excursions, or use the chase tender to make use of a berth not suited to the mothership.
Chase tenders tend to be taken from a model of yacht in their own right. For instance, the Wajer 55 is a popular model of yacht, with M/Y Faith and M/Y Lady Jorgia being both good examples of large charter yachts employing the model as a chase tender. The result is in a large, powerful and fast tender that thrills charter guests, allowing for onboarding or drop offs in serious style.
Other popular brands include Fairline Yachts, Fjord Yachts, Windy Boats, Wally Tender, Van Dutch, Compass Tenders, Maori Yachts, Pardo Yachts and Lamborghini Tecnomar.
